There is enough fabric to allow the front to open almost like a shawl, or you can use the clasp (hook and eye closure, button clasp, or tie clasp) for cooler nights or for added coverage. In this pattern there is also the option to close that top, and who doesn't like bangs ?! These cardigans are intended to span multiple sizes. And the child sizes are free!
