The armhole openings should fit all children within each respective size range. Oh, the drape, the swish and sway of the fabric! Okay okay, bangs are optional.
This may or may not be my favorite pattern to date. There is enough fabric that you could allow the front to drape open like a shawl, or you could use the closure (hook & eye closure, a button closure, or a tie closure) for chillier nights or for more coverage.
