I'd say use maybe an aran weight wool and a 6mm hook for the hat, and a smaller hook (say 5mm) but same. Listed on 11 mar, 2024 The ears would just be 2 tubes then decrease to a point and stitch on.
It is my own pattern made to fit all. Skull caps and beanies berets and tams slouchy hats. The hat is originally 11 x 8 inches, but when folded up (as shown in picture) it is 11 x 6.
