Worsted weight, i used red heart but i would think a sturdy cotton would work even better for the shaping. Or whatever you can think of! The original design is the same as the basic square but with strategic colour changes.
If securing to the square, be sure to respect the angle. And the lightning bolts on the pattern are too small, and i need them to be longer. The lightning bolt is a generous size of 16 high by 6 width at the top.
