Here's a free crochet pattern tutorial i made for a crochet version of a smitten using the crocheted knit stitch, or waistcoat stitch. Layer 1 (the first mitt) is worked in one color and layer 2 (second mitt) is worked in a different color. This pair of full mittens uses the same stitch pattern and type of construction as the solstice fingerless mitts.
